Wear your tire
I have seen used bike parts turned into pieces of furniture or some sort of artistic stuff, but here Dylan Bigby, a FG rider living in San Francisco, got some crafty mind into work and decided to repurpose old bike tires as ‘one of a kind’ belts.

Leather chic
Inspired by the velodrome racers, the new Rapha + Paul Smith Track Gloves are quite good looking. Made from African Hair Sheep leather, the softest available, these gloves are the little luxury ($175) you can bring along a city ride.

This is a great opportunity for designers to showcase their talent and innovative work on different formats and to experiment with a broad range of mediums and concepts.

iPhone my savior
How many times have you found yourself in some last minute night out and had to ride back home without lights that you negligently left in your empty-pockets plate? Right, countless times. Well this time is over, no more reckless bike ride for you if you are a current iPhone user thanks to the new app ‘Safety Flasher‘. The screen of the device turns into a bright flashing light for which you can choose the color, speed and mode (flash, pulse and burst). The mounting on a bike remains a bit tricky but manageable with some creativity or a bag pack with mesh pockets.
Of course this ‘back up’ emergency light, originally designed to use with an armband holder for walkers and runners, is not meant to be used as a substitute of a regular bike light.
So next time, think ‘lights’ first or let your iPhone protect you.

Love… lov lov lov love
If you live in Philly or know a little about art, this anagram should ring a bell… the pop artist Robert Indiana of course! Anyway I thought this tee would be the perfect gift for our loved ones, so much better than last minute crap bought at CVS. To get it, just go to Cutaway Clothing.
