Here is a snapshot of last week alleycat in Lille, a northern city in France, known for its annual street fair, its citadelle, its beers and its big population of students, no wonder there’s some good stuff going on!

For their first alleycat coming up in March 19 in Raleigh-NC, Triangle fixies and WESA (Wolfpack Environmental Student Association) did a killing job to promote it : a website, a sick promo video and some inspiring posters.
It’s very nice to see the bike movement spreading out, putting together a diverse and creative crowd.

Chill and Go 2 happened in Mexico city and was a real hit with over a hundred riders, some of them even flew out of Canada and Australia. Some nice rides and merry faces out there!

BTW, for the ones like me who wonder what “Garibaldina” means, well I am still searching for the exact meaning, so far it can be :
- a red shirt that General Garibaldi and his peers used to wear
- a follower of Garibaldi
- in tribute to the hero’s exploits, it is also an adjective meaning bold or audacious
A Poil!
