The new generation of bike is on its way and looks strangely like a fixie : Bike 2.0, an energy self-generated bike, with no gears, no chains but genuinely equipped with a generator-motor-battery to relieve your legs in steep slopes.
The project team walked off the Seoul Cycle Design Competition 2010 with the pride of a winner and probably lots of excitement for the next bike production plans.
I kind of like this new concept bike, the technology is well thought (you can actually control the level of energy / difficulty of the ride thanks to the 2 wireless rings on the handlebar) and hopefully will appeal more people to use bikes. Last but not least, the technology is well hidden in the bike itself making it pretty nice to look at. More info here.
